MPS Payment Requirements PDF Print E-mail
The organizational structure of milk Producers varies from the traditional family farm, to farms with multiple owners, to farms held by large corporations. Each type of farm has different payment requirements. MPS can accommodate any type of Producer.

The MPS allows for a Primary Producer to have an infinite number of Split Producers to be designated. These Split Producers may share in the Primary’s Hauling Charges and/or Premiums, or can have the Hauling Charges and/or Premiums applied to their own weight. A Split may be set up to receive a percentage of the Primary’s milk weight, receive a fixed number of pounds, or receive a fixed dollar amount.

Through Dynamic Equations, the MPS user may create any calculation equation using a variety of self defined components, such as variable or graduated rates. The user may also use any of the components already found in the MPS, like Lab Test values or Milk Component Pounds. These custom equations allow the MPS user to set the parameters around which the MPS will gather the data that it will use when performing the calculation process. These parameters are by day, by pickup, or by check period.

Dynamic Equations are used for calculating the following entities: Producer Base Pay, Producer Premiums, Producer Hauling Charges, Hauler Base Pay, and Hauler Subsidies.
